These terms are maintained by WJL Engineering and govern your use of the CareerSynth website and the free Career Quickscan. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
CareerSynth is a website that lets you upload a CV, answer five questions, and receive a written positioning report. The report is generated by an automated model and is intended as general guidance, not professional career, legal, or financial advice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use CareerSynth. By submitting a CV, you confirm that the content is yours to share and that you have the right to have it processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload content that infringes anyone's rights or contains malware.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or overload the service.
- Do not use the service to build a competing product or to train third-party models.
- Do not submit false, misleading, or unlawful information.
Your content
You keep all rights to the CV and answers you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process them for the sole purpose of generating and delivering your report, and to operate and secure the service, in line with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies as described in our Privacy Policy. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are set to denied by default through Google Consent Mode v2 and are only activated when you accept them in the cookie banner. You can decline without losing access to the Quickscan.
Reports and no professional advice
Reports are automatically generated and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for how you act on the report's content. We do not guarantee any specific career, income, or hiring outcome.
Availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WJL Engineering is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or opportunities arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for intent or gross negligence.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or misuse the service. On request we will delete your submitted data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law grants you a different forum.
